  • Yes, Google Voice is still out there and “working”. It does feel like Google’s red-headed stepchild. I have 3 different GV accounts I use daily (personal, home, church). For personal my GV # is the number I handout / publish so that ppl do not have my VZW mobile #. I also use the Chrome plugin to call one of my phones and connect me with someone with my GV #. For home, I use GV as the main house phone # and use it for voice mail and to ring both my mobile and my wife’s. For church, I use it as our main # and to handle our voice mail as we don’t have someone in the office all the time.

I’ve been using GV since before it was GV (Grand Central) and really like the features and it’s free! I really do hope Google saves GV and keeps it free!
