  1. I am amazed that nowhere in any of the oragami hype thats going around nobody has mentioned the mobile lifestyle pc that Microsoft talked about earlier this month. I mean, does everyone have a strange selective memory disorder?

    See http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2006/02/ultramobile_lif.html for reference.

These, depending on real street dates and real prices, are gonna make the DualCor even more of a non-starter than it already is.

  2. !!! Dave, you’re now on my bad list!!! Calling me a geeky guy over 35…I’m 20 and a non-geeky girl who just got the 6700 over the Treo. Sheesh. And you were my favorite on the show, too. Tsk tsk. Now I have to choose between JK and Kevin.

That said, I don’t agree that just because he’ll have a laptop with him all the time he won’t need the features of the 6700. I have a tablet, which is far more mobile than a laptop, and I’m addicted to having everything available and editable on my phone. I’m writing this from my phone. It’s wonderful.

Plus, college stdents usually have 5 or so people they call all the time and then use email/aim/text messages for all other communication. The larger screen and better thumb board of the 6700 fits this lifestyle better than the Treo can.

AND for the college crowd who is still oblivious to the Treo fad, a sliding keyboard that lights up blue on a device that can connect to high speed wifi is way cooler than a Treo, but then, I might have a bias :-) .

  3. Oh yeah, and if you get the 6700 with sprint, it’s only $15 a month for EV-DO and you can still use it as a modem for a computer, just FYI.
