Dave’s got a video review of the Palm Treo 700p. Plus he gets a call while on the show. Now, who could that be? ;)

Sony announces the UX handheld series.
Just what IS the size of that screen? We know it’s 4.5-inches diagonal.
Will it “kill” the OQO?
Freeware of the show: Ink Sudoku for a Tablet PC, although it should work on XP devices.
MoTR meet and greet update: we have to push it back due to schedules, but now all three of should be available on June 19th in NYC! :)

  1. Listening to the podcast at work (shh!) and I think Kevin needs to brush up on his math.

The diagonal of a screen is the hypoteneuse of a right triangle, which is the longest side of that triangle. A screen with a 4.5″ diagonal cannot be 5″ wide. Using the 3-4-5 right triangle model, a screen with a 4.5″ diagonal would have dimensions of 3.6″ x 2.7″ – right in line with James’ measurements.

  2. Mark, you’re absolutely right. That’s what I get for writing out the numbers longhand and not using the Windows Calculator! The screen size of the UX is 2.35 inches high by 3.9 inches wide. Thanks! (Guys…he said “hypoteneuse”…heh…heh, heh…)
