  1. The interstate highways in Hawai’i connect the military bases (sort of). They’re built with federal funds so they must by law, if not in fact, be called interstates. BTW, Matt, if you’re still there, be sure to check out the Japanese import shops, like Shirokiya, and the local eateries (any place with a line of customers).
